We are Tours of Brighton with local tours and tours in London and Ghent (Belgium). Join us on our adventures inside restaurants and other food places that are impacting Ghent’s culinary scene. Using food as the tool for exploring the iconic sights of this great city, we introduce you to some fantastic local food and spoil your taste buds during this culinary walking experience.

What’s included

Eat (and drink) your way around Ghent on this 3 hour walking food tour. Explore the city’s buzzing streets and alleyways, filled with independent stores, bars and restaurants. Ghent is famous for its rich history and amazing local food that only can be found there. As passionate food lovers with a big interest in history and walking, we decided to combine all the things we love to create a unique way for you to experience this wonderful city.

This tour suits anyone who is as passionate about food as we are and ready to be surprised with what Ghent has to offer. The tastings can be quite filling, so be hungry when you arrive! Please let us know if there is anything you are allergic or intolerant to so we can accommodate your needs.

  • Distance: Maximum 5-7 km (including sightseeing breaks, photo and food stops)
  • The tour lasts 3 hours
  • There are on average 7 individual food stops
  • Children from 10+ welcome under parents’ guidance (please get in touch if you have younger children)
  • Meeting place: Jacob Van Artevelde statue at Vrijdagmarkt
  • Tours are always in English
  • Start: Daily at 10:00 am / 1:30 pm (except Mondays and Sundays)
  • Bookings must be made no later than 48 hours before the chosen date

Booking a private tour

Select ‘Book a private tour’ when you choose the time of this tour in your booking, if you want to have this tour at a different time and / or in a different language or don’t want to have any other guests joining. An additional charge per person will apply when you checkout.

Special dietary/allergy requirements

Please inform us as soon as possible if you have any special requirements, allergies and intolerances. It is your full responsibility to inform us. Tours of Brighton cannot be held responsible if you forget or only inform us last minute. If you are not able to eat certain foods because of this Tours of Brighton will not offer a refund.

Tours of Brighton will inform any 3rd parties of special requirements, allergies and intolerances as soon as we have received this information from you. Tours of Brighton cannot be held liable if a 3rd party forgets about these special requirements, allergies and intolerances and there will be no refund.

If Tours of Brighton is required to make multiple alternations to an existing tour to suit your needs, an additional charge of 20 GBP will be charged. Alternatively you can contact us to create a private tour.


Alcohol can only be consumed by guests who are 18 and older.

Please inform us if you take any medication if you book a tour where alcohol is consumed. We strongly advise you to not take any alcohol in this situation and will replace this with water or juice. Tours of Brighton is not liable for the consequences if you consume alcohol whilst on medication or when you are pregnant.
