Description

Unusual Things to do in Ghent – Dancing in the Street

It is without a doubt one of the coolest places in Belgium. Therefore it is no surprise that you will find some unusual things to do in Ghent. Running and dancing (“rancing”) in the street for example and creating a party as you slowly scratch the surface of this eclectic city. Ghent lies at the confluence of the rivers Lys (Leie) and Scheldt (Schelde) and is the capital of the Flemish province of East Flanders. With 1 hour or less to other major Belgian cities by train, Ghent makes an ideal day trip from Brussels, Bruges or Antwerp.

Ghent

Known for its medieval centre, modern architecture, a place to be for art and music and with delicious food that will spoil your taste buds, you are in for a real treat and adventure as you embark on this special journey with us.?This is not your ordinary sightseeing tour! Put your silliest outfit on and get into those running shoes, so you can meet your equally eccentric tour guide.

On this tour of Ghent, you pass by must-sees and top attractions, such as Prinsenhof, Patershol, Saint-Bavo Cathedral, Graslei and Korenlei to name a few. But also hidden gems outside the city centre are explored. For that reason, you run from A to B so you can cover more ground. Don’t be misled when you read “running” as this tour is for all fitness levels. Therefore, we adjust the pace to the group and go with the flow. It is also okay to jog or walk. The most important thing is for you to have fun!

About this tour

Following a brief introduction, we start with a warm-up to music, which varies from Golden Oldies to modern pop and anything in between. We also offer themed music, for instance, Eurovision or “Foute Muziek” for Flemish participants, and you can also have your playlist if you let us know well in advance. After the basics are sorted, we are off to bring some additional colour to this vibrant city and get this party started.
